Here to Assist
Members of the Summerside Police Department are called on from time-to-time to provide assistance for special events.
These may include things like:
- High school dances (to provide security)
- Racing events (to close roads and notify the public)
- Parades (to direct traffic and block streets)
If you require police assistance for an event, contact the Police Department at 902-432-1201 to request a meeting with the Chief of Police.
After the meeting, if the request is approved, an officer will work out the details to ensure that appropriate personnel is assigned for the event. Police will notify the public of any road closures.
