Where Culture and Heritage Thrive
Unique museums, beautiful galleries, historic homes, live music, creative educational programming…however you prefer to interact with culture and the arts, there’s an option for you in Summerside.
Culture Summerside is a division of the City of Summerside that operates with the mandate of promoting, preserving, and celebrating the City’s rich culture. Summerside’s cultural mandate began with Wyatt Heritage Properties and, since 2000, has grown to include additional sites, partnerships, and the development of year-round public programming.
In 2012, the name Culture Summerside was adopted to recognize, manage, and celebrate the diversity and scope of the work undertaken by the cultural division.
Our core mission is to promote the value of art, heritage, and culture throughout the City.
We strive to be a city renowned for its creative endeavours, historic preservation initiatives, and cultural tourism opportunities where arts, culture, and heritage thrive and are highly valued from a regional, provincial, and national perspective.

- Wyatt Historic House Museum
- MacNaught History Centre and Archives
