Start a Mobile Food Establishment
Summerside is fortunate to have had many mobile food establishments start up within our city over the past few years.
If you want to start a mobile food establishment in Summerside, you must first complete an application form detailing:
- the location(s) of the proposed mobile food establishment (You can include a maximum of 2 locations for your proposed mobile food establishments, and the land must be zoned for applicable commercial use.)
- written permission from the property owner
Your application will be reviewed by the Planning Board to see if it meets specific criteria before being passed on to Council for approval/denial.
If your application is approved, you can then pay the appropriate fee for your license, which will be valid for one calendar year:
- $500 for residents of the City of Summerside
- $1,000 for non-residents of the City of Summerside
