Mowing
Mowing of City green space areas is conducted by Union and Non-Union staff usually starting during the second week of May.
Seasonal Union mowing Responsibilities (2 union Positions)
- Daily mowing of park and green space areas
- Daily checks of vehicle, trailer and mowing equipment
- Weekly cleanup and servicing of mowing equipment
- Pick up of any litter and debris before mowing
- Check/empty waste receptacles at Park and green space areas
- Record on work sheet any vandalism or safety issues in a particular park or green space
Seasonal Non-Union Mowing Responsibilities (1 Position)
- Mowing and trimming of assigned areas
- Daily checks of vehicle, trailer and mowing equipment
- Weekly cleanup and servicing of mowing equipment
- Pick up of any litter and debris before mowing
- Check/empty waste receptacles at Park and green Space areas
- Record on work sheet any vandalism or safety issues in a particular park or green space
