Summerside is well known throughout Canada for its splendid nineteenth century and early twentieth century residential architecture.
Our heritage houses have many stories to tell, and represent the stylistic trends which prevailed at different stages in the City’s development. Our walking tours through the Historic House District and along the Water Street Commercial District will introduce you to many of Summerside's beautiful heritage buildings.
Visit the Lefurgey Cultural Centre or the MacNaught History Centre for a self-guided walking tour publication or contact our Public Programs Office for group tours on foot or by coach. An online walking tour will be available in the near future.
