The City of Summerside employs between 130 and 160 people at any given time during the year, which includes both unionized and non-unionized staff as well as seasonal, part-time, and full-time positions.

Criminal Record Checks
Please note: For some of our positions, we do require a criminal record check. For purposes of employment, there is a processing fee ($50) to be paid at City Hall. For volunteer positions, there is no cost. Summerside Police Services conducts these checks.
