City Parking Lot Maintenance
Our Municipal Services’ Public Works Department is responsible for the maintenance of all municipal parking lots and metered parking spaces throughout the city.
This service includes:
- Off-Street Parking and Lot Maintenance Planning
- Off-Street Parking and Lot Maintenance Budgeting
- Parking Lot Design
- Parking Lot Construction
- Parking Lot Commissioning
- Parking Lot Maintenance
- Parking Lot Repair
- Off-Street Parking and Lot Maintenance Monitoring
You may park on any city street or municipal parking lot in the downtown core provided there are no posted restrictions. Most downtown parking is restricted to a 2-hour time limit from 9:00am–9:00pm on weekdays.
You may NOT park on any city street or property owned by the City between the hours of 1:00am and 6:00am from November 1–April 30 to allow for snow removal efforts.
There is a Commissionaire tasked with enforcing the City’s Traffic and Parking Bylaw.
