Keeping the City Beautiful
Many beautiful flower gardens can be found throughout Summerside’s green spaces and parks. It is the responsibility of Parks staff to plant and maintain the gardens located throughout City properties.
Some of these responsibilities include:
- Horticultural Maintenance - including shrub/tree pruning, edging of plant beds, mulching of plant beds, weeding of plant beds
- Fertilizing/watering of flower beds and hanging baskets
- Planting of annual flower beds, planters
- New plant bed construction
- Tree planting and maintenance
- Removal of annual and hanging baskets (first week of October)
