PEI Renewable Energy Act
The PEI Renewable Energy Act an associated regulations came into effect in December of 2005.
The ACT states that utilities must acquire a minimum of 15% of electrical energy they sell from renewable sources.
With 46% of our energy needs being met by green energy sources, we have far surpassed that minimum.
