What it Takes to Power a City
Everyone enjoys the convenience of electricity. We’ve all become quite dependent on having reliable access to this modern necessity. However, many residents don’t understand why the costs for electricity are as high as they are.
For perspective, it costs the City $19 million per year to maintain our electrical and fibre systems for our 7,000 customers.
This area of the website is intended to inform residents of the costs associated with producing electricity, where that money you use to pay your bill goes, and how you can reduce the cost of powering your home.
