Councillor Rick Morrison successfully ran in the 2022 Municipal Election for Ward 7: Greenshore -Three Oaks. At the December 5th swearing-in ceremony, he was appointed council representative for Community Services & Tourism. Rick looks forward to the opportunity of working with his colleagues on the 2022-2026 Council to help make Summerside the best it can be.
In January 2021, Rick retired after 35 years with the City of Summerside. Over the last 50 years he has also been involved in the day to day operations of his family business, originally with his parents and later with his wife Nicolle and their children.
For 40 years, Rick was a member of the Summerside Fire Department, including serving on the executive of the Department. Rick has been an active volunteer with local Minor Hockey and Minor Football organizations, including being a board member.
Rick resides in Glover Shore area of Ward 7 with his wife Nicolle. They have three children and six grandchildren.
